Care Instructions

For best results fill in the details for each section of the first day of school board using washable chalk only such as standard chalk or water based chalk markers from Officeworks.

While liquid chalk is a great option not all liquid chalk markers on the market are suitable for chalkboards as some markers are solvent based and as a result the boards absorb some of the pigment from the ink making them difficult to remove. If you decide to use liquid chalk markers, do so with caution and test on an inconspicuous area first and only use water based liquid chalk such as uni chalk markers from Officeworks.

To remove chalk, get a dry soft micro fibre cloth and wrap it around your finger and gently wipe each section clean one at a time. If there is some dust residue left behind, you can dampen the cloth a little and give it another gentle wipe, make sure the cloth is not too wet as excess water may damage the board. Do not scrub the board or use abrasive cloths and cleaning solutions as this may remove the chalkboard coating or damage the design on the board by weakening the adhesive.
